Make your own animated name
Here is a tutorial to show you how to make an animated name for yourself.
It uses GIFWorks! Free Online GIF eTools, which is a free, online 'tool', so there is nothing to download, but be sure to save the link so you can use it whenever you want to.

This tutorial comprises simple moving letters, using a wide range of fonts, colours, styles, and animation effects. For example:
Font = Boomerang Monkey
Effect = Slide Left Medium
|
Font = Bard
Effect = Rotate Left Single Medium
|
Font = Carolingia
Effect = Swing Single Slow
|
There are so many possible combinations, and they are very easy for non-technical people to make using the Gifworks website. Please print or copy the text below before trying to make your own name.
This is the link you will need - Make 3D Text. There's nothing to download, and you can use this link over and over again. Open the link, and bookmark it for future use.
Step 1: Select the colour of your choice by clicking on it in the colour chart. The colour you select will appear in the box on the right of the chart.
Then scroll down to Step 2, and select a font that you like. There are 6 boxes to choose from! Click on the one you want, and a sample of that font will appear in the box underneath. You can try as many as you want till you find the one you like.
You do not need to do anything with Step 3 at this time. You might want to play around with it when you are more familiar with using the program!
Step 4: Select the effect you want from the drop-down menu. You can play around with these as much as you like!
Select Looping - Run Forever
Select Speed - Fast, Medium or Slow from the drop-down menu
Select Font Size - 6-8 is about the average size for emails, but you can play around with that too.
If you are using an effect that shows the sides of the letters, like rotate right (or left), then you may need to adjust DEPTH to 1 or 2, otherwise the letters will be too wide to read the name properly.
Leave the rest of the settings as they are.
Step 5 - Enter your text. Delete the words in the box, and put in the text you want to animate. Then click PREVIEW.
If you like it, right-click on it and "save as...."
Hey presto, you've now animated your own name!!! Easy, wasn't it!
