Donations made to NSPCC

This year (2007), due to the catastrophic loss of my hard drive last December (thus losing and having to replace virtually everything, and having to go to a new server), I have been unable to make a contribution from the site to the NSPCC, although my own personal donation of £10 per month by direct debit has been continued.

I am hoping that when the new-look site re-opens in January 2008, the membership will increase, and I will be able to resume donating to the NSPCC from the site.

Previously:

Following is a message from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), sent March 22, 2005, acknowledging payment of £50.

Similar letters were sent (in 2005) April 1, April 25, May 20, June 10, August 14; (and in 2006) January 31, February 20, April 7 (£100), July 30 (£150), November 3 (£100) for the same amount, so the total donation since paying off the development of my site is £750.

Dear Mrs Davies,

Thank you for your kind donation of £50.

It is thanks to the generosity of people like you that the NSPCC can work towards ending cruelty to children.

You can also administrate your donations online and have access to a wider range of information by registering with Supporter Services Online, the area of our website dedicated to supporters. We will be sending you details of how you can access this area within the next seven days.

Best Regards,

Lisa Williams,
Appeals Manager

Hit means lost it : Babies and toddlers can be very demanding, and even the most caring parents can sometimes feel frustrated and out of control. The NSPCC believes that when it supports parents, it helps protect children. Its latest campaign lets parents know that getting frustrated with young children is normal and urges parents to call the NSPCC Helpline if they ever feel they are about to lose it and harm their child.

The NSPCC Helpline (0808 800 5000) is a 24 hour, seven days a week service and calls are free.

For more information on the campaign to protect babies and toddlers, visit http://www.nspcc.org.uk .
